Unlike the United Kingdome not every police department will have a K9 unit, nevertheless the sheer size of the country, population and police service personnel must make the USA one of if not the largest user of police K9's in the World.

Add to this the military, the customs service, the various departments of correction and prisons and the multitude of private security officers who utilise dogs to carry out their duties and it becomes clear that the opportunity to gather valuable experience and knowledge from this vast continent of K9 users is unbounded.
